Suzie
One of my good friends, Suzie, is a beautiful woman. She is one of the strongest & most graceful people I know.
Below are just a few shots from our latest session together.
Enjoy.

Mommy & Me: Mandy & Liam
Fall is a time to catch up on all my friends’ portraits. Yesterday morning I had a chance to do shoot a session with my friend Mandy and her precious boy Liam. He is such a little flirt, and seems to always be happy so it was an easy session!
* Go Steelers *
Enjoy

Hair & Make-up shoot
Over the weekend I shot photos for Michele Wilderman’s hair and make-up portfolio. If you are in the Philadelphia area and need your hair/make-up done for a wedding or other neat reason, hit her up at: michelewilderman@gmail.com. The models are Melissa & Kelly. Good job ladies!

The Breslins
I always know its fall when I get to photograph the Breslins. It really felt like fall during this session at the Broad Street beach in Cape May and the sky even showed it as well – absolutely beautiful! I can’t believe how much Amelia has grown up over the years and still quite a wonderful little poser. I love being part of their family tradition down the shore every year and truly appreciate them letting me capture just a little bit of time each year.
Thank you!!!

The Ringwood & Burr Family
Last year I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing The Ringwood & Burr family. This year I met them all again on the beach across from Marquis de Lafayette in Cape May in the evening after having to postpone the shoot 2 other times due to bad weather. So glad we did because the skies were gorgeous for the shoot!
Once again I had a great time with all of them, and this time got to chase around the twin girls

The Salvatore Family
This evening I met with the Salvatore family at the Cape May Lighthouse state park. Their little girls, Sam & Gabby, were just so much fun and had wonderful personalities. I am always a big fan of color for portraits, especially beach portraits, and the dresses just popped wonderfully.
Enjoy!

The Barrett Family
Today I met with The Barrett Family: Randi, Paul, and their two beautiful children Jason and Dahlia. I loved everyone’s sense of humor especially both the kids!
The weather held out and even turned beautiful just in time for shots at the Hereford Lighthouse in North Wildwood, one of my favorite locations to shoot.
Enjoy!

Maggie- Trash the Dress/Vintage Portraits
Every year when my sister-in-law visits, we set up a fun photo shoot and take time to connect over something we both have a passion for. This year I had it in my head to trash *my* wedding dress. As I am pregnant, and most likely will never fit in my wedding dress again, I quickly came to realize the next best thing- Maggie! Maggie wasn’t so sure about trashing my dress as she was concerned I would regret it. What to regret? It has been sitting in my closet for 3 years now not doing a thing. I wanted it to be used again and creatively. I was so happy when the shoot came together, and without realizing that it had a slight vintage flair to it- perfect for my vintage project I have been working on.
Enjoy!!

The Hinksmon Family
The other day I met with the Hinksmon family. Their little boy, Alex, was full of energy and was fascinated with everything at Higbee’s Beach.
I enjoyed my time with them!

Felicity – Spring Contest Winner
In the spring I held a contest on my Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/meacreations) in which the winner would win a free portrait session. The winner was Felicity
What a beautiful girl and great to work with! The shoot took place at her grandparents’ home in South Seaville with beautiful gardens all around! There were so many shots, but I chose my top 10 favorite.
Enjoy!

The Davis Family
I met the Davis family for the first time last year and fell in love with how photogenic they all were. This year we met at Higbees Beach (a beautiful hide-away beach in Cape May). The girls grew up so fast in a year but still had the joy and excitement of coming up with ideas for poses and such.
Enjoy!

The Weintraub Family
Yesterday was a beautiful day for family portraits on the beach. I met the Weintraubs at Higbees Beach (one of my favorite spots in Cape May). As soon as their little girl Chloe was out of the car she started talking and smiling and I started clicking right away. What a sweetheart! Nicole and Doug were so fun and easy going and came with such fun props!
So many great ones!

Leidy Family Portraits
It was great seeing Brandi, Chris, and Jules again! I first met all three a few years ago for Brandi and Chris’ wedding, so it was a great pleasure hearing from Brandi again. The day was absolutely beautiful and just what we needed for portraits. Very next day, of course, it went back to the gray cloudy days we’ve become accustomed to. The portrait session was at the Hereford Lighthouse in North Wildwood which is my absolute favorite location to shoot.
Enjoy!

Self Portrait
I recently have redone my office and the curtains at my window have been tempting me to use them as a backdrop for a few days now. I decided to put them to use with a few self portraits and then my husband jumped in.

Olivia
While on location for Lee J’s music video yesterday, I came across the most beautiful (and warm!) greenhouse I have ever seen. I grabbed Olivia who was with us for taping and threw a very colorful shirt on her and a hat and we did an impromptu shoot. I am very glad that I never took the clothes in from the car, and that I had many options for just such an occasion.
I absolutely love Olivia’s smile!

Lee J. and Kesha
My friend Lee J. is about to film his second music video (see his first one here) and needed some photos for the video itself. I was so excited when he called to ask me to shoot these. Lee J. brought along his friend Kesha as she will be posing as his girlfriend in the video. It was great meeting her for the first time, and I immediately liked her from her sense of style and her openess to do anything for the shot. Both Lee J. and Kesha were great models and very brave when I asked them to roll around in absolutely freezing ocean water. It made for some great shots!!
They both had a great chemistry together- perhaps a love match in the making?!?
I will link you to Lee J.’s new video when it comes out. Keep your eyes peeled and your ears open!

(This one I tried to capture what it looks like when a couple takes a photo of themselves, as my husband and I have done on many, many occasions)

Mandy channeling Jackie O. (Vintage Portrait)
After a beautiful vacation, I was dying to get back to my vintage project that many of you know that I have been working on. Today Mandy came over and we played Jackie O. We added a splash of color with some faux flowers that seemed to make it feel more like spring. Poor Mandy was wearing a thin dress and had mostly bare legs. In between shots I gave her my new old (it’s 1940′s vintage) fur coat to cover herself with. She did very well despite the cold and didn’t complain once about how freezing she must have been. I, on the other hand, was bundled up and still complaining about the cold.
I hope these images bring spring into your hearts and that they warm you up a bit.
Enjoy!

Liam the little “Naked Chef”
This afternoon Liam came over for ‘playtime’ portraits. His mom and I had been planning a “naked chef” shoot. What a cutie! I have known Liam since he was born, even while in his mommy’s tummy. He has grown so much in the past few months, I can hardly believe that he is the same little baby.
Enjoy. Eat well.

First Portraits of 2011- Jenni & Jeff
Happy New Year! I do believe it will be a wonderful year for Meacreations based on my shoot from yesterday.
I met Jenni in middle school ages ago and so I was very happy when we were able to reconnect at the end of 2010. Jenni hasn’t changed one bit- still just as bubbly, sweet, very outgoing and fun! Jeff, Jenni’s amazing boyfriend, is just as sweet, outgoing, and fun (perhaps bubbly as well?). A perfect match as far as I am concerned!
I knew it was going to be a great shoot before even setting the date for it. We had originally planned for fall, but it had to be pushed back and I am so glad because yesterday was a gorgeous day for portraits. We met at Longwood Gardens , (Kennett Square, Pennsylvania) in an awesome snow storm. It was absolutely stunning!
I think you will feel the energy from the shots below.

The Hansen extended family portraits
This morning I met with the Hansens- all of them- at the beach to start our Christmas portrait session. That quickly ended with a drive back to their family’s barn in which we were shielded from the freezing winds that plague Cape May in the winter. Lots of little feet running this way and that, but we captured lots and lots of great moments.
Enjoy below.

Princess Tea Party
Two weekends ago I had the joy of photographing Landon and today I got to photograph his big sister, Jayci (as fellow followers of my blog know, Jayci is one of my best models!) having a tea party. I have always wanted to do a tea party shoot and this was the perfect opportunity. During our shoot, we went through hats, butterfly wings, wands, high heels, and a fun feather boa!

Landon 1 year portraits
This morning my friend Jen brought her little boy Landon by for a portrait session. Landon will be turning 1 on New Years Day and Jen wanted to have unique invitations to send out for such a unique birthday. Landon, just like older sister Jayci is a wonderful model and I look forward to working with him more and more. Please enjoy the shots below!

Brianna & Andre
They did it! After a long courtship, a brief engagement, and a quick ceremony, Brianna and Andre wed yesterday. After knowing Brianna for a few years, I was ecstatic when she accepted my offer of a portrait session! She is absolutely beautiful and has the most awesome outfits and of course a stunning smile. It was wonderful meeting Andre for the first time too. He was a great model as well and even had ideas for some shots. (I always welcome input!) We had a fun time playing on a mostly abandoned Wildwood boardwalk, and had perfect weather. Couldn’t have asked for better.
Congrats again, you two! I hope to see you guys more as you come back up this way!

Fall Farm Portrait
Fall evokes many special feelings in my head. In the fall, I listen to more and more jazz, I start baking more, and I am pulled to farms. On my way home from the gym this evening the light was absolutely beautiful and the horses were out. Just a few days before I saw one horse chasing the geese at full gallop- and I was sort of hoping to capture that. I did not capture that today, but I was able to make a friend with one very sweet horse who came to me and posed (over, and over, and over again).
Please enjoy below:

(This one is my favorite because if you look closely he is smiling!)
