Landon 1 year portraits
This morning my friend Jen brought her little boy Landon by for a portrait session. Landon will be turning 1 on New Years Day and Jen wanted to have unique invitations to send out for such a unique birthday. Landon, just like older sister Jayci is a wonderful model and I look forward to working with him more and more. Please enjoy the shots below!

Brianna & Andre
They did it! After a long courtship, a brief engagement, and a quick ceremony, Brianna and Andre wed yesterday. After knowing Brianna for a few years, I was ecstatic when she accepted my offer of a portrait session! She is absolutely beautiful and has the most awesome outfits and of course a stunning smile. It was wonderful meeting Andre for the first time too. He was a great model as well and even had ideas for some shots. (I always welcome input!) We had a fun time playing on a mostly abandoned Wildwood boardwalk, and had perfect weather. Couldn’t have asked for better.
Congrats again, you two! I hope to see you guys more as you come back up this way!

Fall Farm Portrait
Fall evokes many special feelings in my head. In the fall, I listen to more and more jazz, I start baking more, and I am pulled to farms. On my way home from the gym this evening the light was absolutely beautiful and the horses were out. Just a few days before I saw one horse chasing the geese at full gallop- and I was sort of hoping to capture that. I did not capture that today, but I was able to make a friend with one very sweet horse who came to me and posed (over, and over, and over again).
Please enjoy below:

(This one is my favorite because if you look closely he is smiling!)

The Breslins (Year 2)
Last year I had the pleasure of meeting Lisa, Jim, and their little girl Amelia (last year’s post here). When Lisa wrote me and told me that they’d be coming down again this year and she would like to do a repeat portrait session- I jumped at the chance! This year they met me at the Hereford Lighthouse in North Wildwood. I brought along a colorful tutu for Amelia to wear when in the gardens- it was a big hit! It was wonderful seeing them all again.

Loving Portrait
My grandmom is one of my best friends, and though as I grow older and I see her fewer times, I feel more close to her than ever before. I once took her portraits as one of my very first photographic assignments in my freshman year of highschool. I still have a print or two from the roll- ones that I will always love. I decided that while she is down the shore with my parents visiting I will retake her portraits to capture her beauty today.
Below are some of my favorites.

The Ringwood Family
Last evening I met up with the Ringwood family to shoot family portraits at the Cape May Lighthouse. All of them were a dream to photograph – so easy going, fun, kind, and photogenic including the twin girls who were 10 months! I had many favorites from this shoot, and tried to narrow them down to my usual 15- but ended up going a little bit over. I am sure you will enjoy each and every one as well.

Happy 94th Birthday!
Saturday morning I had the pleasure of photographing a family gathering for the matriarch’s 94th birthday. She looks so good for 94, I hope we all can look that great!

The Jones Family
This morning, bright and early, I had the pleasure of shooting photos of the Jones family along the Delaware Bay, among them were the most beautiful triplet girls! Though it was tough to get everyone to sit still for a few shots, we managed to pull off some great family shots as well as many individuals. I particularly love the shot of Grandma and the three girls. Lona and Chris have their work cut out for them- but handle everything with such grace!

Jessie & Chris Engagement Portraits
One of my best friends, Jessie, recently got engaged to her wonderful boyfriend Chris and today we did their engagement portraits in their yard and gardens. The yard and gardens play a very big role in their lives (and they even got engaged there). It was so much fun- despite the 100 + degree heat!
I wish them the bestest

Suzie & Kevin
My friend from high school, Suzie, and her husband came down for a quick trip this weekend. I was so excited to see them! Suzie is the most beautiful and amazing girl I know…inside and out. Such a strong, silly, outgoing, incredibly kind girl- and always has been! It makes me so happy to know that she grew up to find the love of her life, Kevin, who treats her so wonderfully and is a great guy himself. This couple is truly a match made in heaven. I know that anyone who knows both Suzie and Kevin are very lucky to do so, and they know it too.
Many pictures were taken today at the bay and I had many favorites.
Enjoy!

The Monteingro Family
I had the pleasure of meeting yet another wonderful family full of love this evening- the Monteingro family. One of my favorite things about doing family portraits is witnessing the love the entire family feels for one another. This was no different! Emily, the daughter, what a sweetie! So kind, and very high spirited, and I got a hug from the very beginning of the shoot! What a beautiful smile she has- I could have just photographed her smile the entire time and not have grown tired of it.
We met at the lighthouse state park in Cape May- one of my favorite spots- and walked around to different surroundings- using the old bunker as a back drop for some. We even had a beautiful show of, no lie, about 15 dolphins playing. We were very excited to see them- what a beautiful sight!
Enjoy!

Davis Family (part 2)
No, you are not seeing double- okay, well maybe you are sorta. I wasn’t lying when I said I had so many favorites on this shoot that I wanted to put them all up. And usually I can refrain from adding a ton of shots from the same shoot- but this time I couldn’t help myself!
Here are about 11 more from last night’s shoot – Enjoy!

The Davis Family
A very hot and hazy summer day turned into a beautiful night just in time for the Davis Family to have their portraits done at the Cape May Lighthouse National Park. Michelle and Jeff are a wonderful (and totally in love!) couple who are bringing up 3 beautiful, sweet, charming, and fun girls. I had such a great time and shot many, many photos and could have kept going, if it were not for the sun starting to set.
Below are a few of my favorites though I could have added almost the entire shoot!
Enjoy!

Mary’s Vintage Style Portraits
So many of you know, if you have been following my blog, that I started a project in which I intend to shoot vintage-style portraits and make a book or a show out of these specific portraits. Well, today was my second vintage shoot with my friend Mary, from Cape May Sandal Shoppe (one of my favorite stores in Cape May, check the link out!). One day she came into my office wearing this stunning dress (the one she has on in the photos) which just screamed Jackie O. to me! So I ordered a pillbox hat and we were ready to shoot! Our location of choice was Cape May Court House, right on the main street…so timeless!
Enjoy the pics below, and check out the other vintage style portraits I took earlier here.

Maggie Shines
My friend Maggie and I decided that we should set up a shoot sometime. Today was that time. What a beautiful evening! Went down a few blocks on the Delaware Bay from where I have been shooting from the past few days- and found some new things to play with. Had a great time!

Princess of the Bay
After 2 days of cancellations because of bad weather, I was finally able to capture my friend’s little girl, Devin, having the time of her life being a model on the beach. Once again, we walked down the street from my house to the beach of the Delaware Bay (one of my new favorite spots) to shoot. And shoot. And shoot. Devin could have gone all night! It was so nice having a model who was just as excited as I was about everything. Erin, Devin’s mom, wanted these photos done for her fiance for Fathers Day- hence the beginning photos with the Eagles jersey and football. He’s going to be so excited when he sees his gift!
Enjoy.

Girls’ Weekend Getaway
Last week I received a call from Christine in regards to doing a shoot with her best girl pals for her sister-in-law’s birthday. I was very excited to meet them all today- they were very sweet, fun, and they brought such energy!
Just posting a few that I think show the true spirit of their relationship with each other.
Heading to Cape May area for a girls’ getaway? Think of having a portrait session done

Wildwood Boardwalk Fun
My bestie and I went to the Wildwood boardwalk this afternoon to do a guerrila shoot. We had fun sneaking about and shooting before anyone realized what we were doing. What a rush!
Enjoy a few below:

Vintage Fashion Shoot
My bestie is in town this weekend and we are having a great girls’ blast. This morning we went on the Delaware Bay Beach just down the street from my house for a vintage shoot. Vanessa is a wonderful model- and I couldn’t have asked for better. We had a great time during the shoot- and laughing the whole time. It made for wonderful memories!
Once again, many favorites, but picked out the top ones to post.

Irene & Devon – Expecting Portraits
After hours upon hours of gray -almost rainy- weather today, the sun decided to make a debut- and couldn’t be more perfect with its timing. Today I met up with a wonderful couple Irene and Devon to shoot their Expecting Portraits at the Hereford Lighthouse in North Wildwood. Irene was a dream to shoot- willing to do almost anything for a great picture. I am very excited for their child they are about to bring into the world because I know he will be surrounded by incredible love.
So many wonderful photos from this session and very hard to decide which are my favorites. Please enjoy them below, and of course, if you know of anyone who is expecting or has a newborn, I am available for portrait sessions! www.meacreations.com

Rona & Eric – 2oth Anniversary
On Saturday evening I had the pleasure of meeting Rona & Eric who came down to Cape May for the weekend to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary. Many congrats to them! This shoot was very fun and they were both great models- despite being bitten alive by many mosquitos.
Below are a few of my favorites. And, as always, I am still available for portraits and weddings this summer – meacreations.com.
Enjoy!

Mandy’s Maternity Shots
Had a nice afternoon with my friend Mandy shooting her maternity portraits before she becomes a mommy for the first time. I can’t wait to meet the little one and take newborn shots. Mandy is such a fun loving, easy going, fun, sweet girl and I am sure her baby will take on those wonderful traits. It was hard to pick my favorite, but here are a few below.
Enjoy!
Natural Beauty
Today was a wonderful day- after days of gray, rain, cold, and wind, the sun finally came out and it was as warm as a spring day. It was perfect timing too, because I was able to photograph my good friend and her family at the Cape May County Zoo. Not only are Jen and Chris a gorgeous couple, but their daughter, Jayci, is a natural model. So stunning and relaxed with her smile. This is not the first time I photographed Jayci, I photographed a year or two ago and she was a perfect model then as well. Needless to say, I was very excited to shoot photos of her again now that she is developing a personality of her own- so awesome! I can’t wait to see what Jen and Chris’ new baby will look like and am anxiously waiting till I can take more photos. There were so many great ones it was very hard to pick a select few. Please enjoy!
Portraits and Portraits
Yesterday I had two great portrait sessions. I will post a few from the first session below. I love photographing kids because they are relaxed and very creative. I decided to bring a chair that I found in my shed (thanks to the lady who owned my house before me). I figured the kids may have a use for it. And did they ever! The boys took the chair out into the bay and just had a blast. It made for fun but also very nice shots. Check out below:
