Weddings

April & Vince

The last wedding of the season was very windy and cold, but beautiful! April & Vince are so easy-going which always works well for photos. With a very intimate ceremony on the Cove beach in Cape May and a dinner at the Pier House afterward, everything showed how important family and friends are to this couple.

To all my wedding couples and portrait sessions this year- a BIG thank you!! It was a pleasure working with you all. You all made it very easy even when I had a growing tummy :)

Erin & Jake

Nothing, not even rain, could stop the beach wedding of Erin & Jake! At the time of the ceremony, it was raining steadily but light enough to be able to enjoy the ceremony on the beach (across from the Grand Hotel in Cape May). By the time portraits were done, it started pouring in sheets of rain! I truly enjoyed being able to have a fun session with Erin & Jake.

Congrats again!

Jamie & Ryan

From the moment I spoke with Jamie on the phone, I could just tell just how stylish she would be on her wedding day. I had been very excited for this wedding and when I woke up to see the rain (when the weather forecasters said it would be sunny and only 20% rain) I was surprised that we weren’t going to get the outside ceremony/portrait shots that were planned. However, being at the Southern Mansion (Cape May), I knew that the inside is just as beautiful as the outside. Jamie and Ryan were a fun couple to work with- especially with the bathtub shots :)

Enjoy!

Heather & Will

Last evening I met with Heather & Will to celebrate their vow renewal ceremony at David Douglas Rotary Park in North Cape May, right next to the Cape May- Lewes Ferry.  A beautiful ceremony and beautiful people!

Chantal & Mario

Yesterday was Chantal & Mario’s beautiful ceremony. What a beautiful day and a beautiful family!

Chantal got ready at the Mainstay Inn in Cape May, took a ride in a horse and carriage from the Cape May Carriage Company, got married at the Cove beach, and had a small dinner reception at Martini Beach.

Chantal & Mario are a sweet, fun loving, and a very strong couple.

Enjoy!

Stephanie & Josh

Saturday was even hotter than Friday, but you wouldn’t know it by looking at Stephanie, Josh, and the entire bridal party: they kept their cool through out! I had a super time shooting with them everyone was so fun and exciting and sweet. The ceremony took place on the beach in Avalon, right on the Golden Inn’s property  and the reception inside.

Stephanie had put great thought into all the little things for the wedding, and it showed through and through!

Kristin & Todd

This weekend brought the hottest weather we’ve seen down the shore in a long while- and a busy weekend for Meacreations! Starting with Friday evening, I met with Kristin & Todd and their family as they shared vows under the blazing sun (but a breeze had just kicked in minutes before the ceremony). A nice sweet couple joining together with their kids to make one big beautiful family! The ceremony was on the beach across the street from the Grand Hotel in Cape May, with the reception following at the Grand.

Enjoy!

Amanda & AJ

It was such a hot but beautiful day for Amanda and AJ’s wedding on Sunday at the Southern Mansion in Cape May. Though everyone was melting, they kept their cool long enough for photos – which was great!

I wish Amanda & AJ the best in the coming future :)

Amy & Erik 5.14

Last Saturday the rain held off until after both the ceremony and portraits for Amy & Erik which was great because the grounds at the Sand Barrens Golf Club in Swainton were too beautiful not to photograph! The ceremony was very sweet especially with Amy & Erik’s twins, Erica & Dillon, running in between both Amy & Erik.

Enjoy!

Sara & Scott

Yesterday was a beautiful day for a beach wedding! Sara and Scott got married on the beaches of Cape May, and had their reception across the street at the Pier House restaurant. Every detail that Sara thought up was absolutely gorgeous and I enjoyed photographing it all! I also was in love with Scott’s shoes. Sara and Scott are such a fun loving couple and I believe it comes across in the photos.

Congrats again, Sara and Scott!!

Jeane & Eddie Got Married!

Though we were blessed to have wonderful weather last week for their engagement portraits, we weren’t as blessed on Saturday for Jeane & Eddie’s wedding. But, it didn’t matter! The weather outside reflected nothing of the love and happiness inside. A great celebration and wonderful people! Beautiful all around, I had a great time photographing everything I laid my eyes on. After dinner, and after a few drinks, the guys wanted to shoot some portraits outside on the beach in the intense storm. I was all for it! Right before we came in, Jeane made her way out to join in the fun, I was so happy she did, it made for awesome shots!

Congratulations, you two!

Jenna & Rob

It was a perfect fall day for a wedding, and many weddings were in the area at The Cove in Cape May. Jenna & Rob’s wedding was hands down the most beautiful and intimate. When I met Jenna & Rob initially at the consultation, I knew right away this would be a wonderful wedding to shoot. Many gorgeous details and the sun glare just added to the drama of each shot and there were even butterflies hanging around! Jenna & Rob are a gorgeous and kind couple and it shows in all the photos.

Enjoy!

Ashley & Joe

The first time I met Ashley was when she came running up to her ceremony under an umbrella in the pouring rain. It made for great shots right away- and I knew I would have a great time shooting Ashley & Joe’s wedding. With a simple ceremony at the Sunset Pavillion in Cape May, listening to the thunder and rain while they spoke their vows made for a romantic feel. As soon as they finished their kiss, the rain stopped and the skies opened up a tad- making it possible for portraits on the beach with a beautiful stormy sky as the background. Ashley & Joe really knew how to have fun and gave me wonderful ideas to work with. When the portraits were over, it started raining again. I couldn’t have asked for more perfect timing, and though I am sure Ashley & Joe would have preferred to have sunny skies, I have to admit I was very ecstatic for the stormy weather.

Enjoy!

Allison & Austin

From our first meeting I knew that I would get along very well with both Allison and Austin. Both are so kind and very easy going, good looking and have a great sense of humor mixed all together.  The day was filled with sunshine and just enough warmth for the time we needed to be outside taking photos. Allison and Austin wed at the Cape May United Methodist Church and encouraged everyone to walk with them a few blocks to the Chalfonte Hotel where they had their reception (which was great fun!)

Please enjoy the photos below.

Ashley & Kris

On Sunday I had the pleasure of shooting Ashley & Kris’ wedding that took place at Cape May Point on the beach. What a picture perfect day! Ashley has an eye for beautiful details and every detail popped in the room at Congress Hall where Ashley got ready. Kris’ son was great for shots as he smiled so big and was just fun to be around!

I wish them all the best!

Suzanne & Jim

Some of my favorite weddings are the intimate ones. Small group of family and friends surrounding bride and groom while they exchange vows as laughs and smiles come very easily from all. Intimate weddings are very easy going – and can make for great photos- especially at the Cape May Winery.

Suzanne & Jim met on an airplane flying down to Florida five years ago. What an amazing love story!

Such beautiful details at this wedding, I had a blast shooting it all. Suzanne & Jim preferred not to have many portraits- and opted for a photo-journalistic style photography – but I was able to catch a few posed shots!

Enjoy!

Lance and Stephanie

Yesterday I was able to capture two good friends’ marriage. What a wonderful feeling being there to witness as they join together in marriage, but also to be able to capture it on film! Stephanie was as outgoing and beautiful as usual, and Lance- well, I never saw him smile as much! Stephanie got ready in a room at Congress Hall in Cape May – always a beautiful setting. The wedding was at the Cold Spring Presbyterian Church‎ – such a charming setting!

Below are just a few of my favorites I have come across thus far. Enjoy!

Meghan & Josh

Once again today looked like it might be a wash out- but the skies cleared (sort of) just in time for Meghan and Josh’s ceremony. What a fun, sweet, loving, and relaxed couple! Meghan and Josh’s ceremony was on the beach at Trenton Ave in Cape May, with their reception dinner held at Union Park.

Beautiful start to 2010 Wedding Season

Though it was a rainy-gloomy day in Cape May, you would never know it with the bright smiles of Alena and Jeremy – the wedding couple. Held indoors at the Peter Shields Inn, everyone was dry and warm. What a beautiful couple and oh how fun!I have posted more than I usually do simply because I could not decide on my favorites. Please enjoy!

What a great way to start of the 2010 Wedding Season. Still looking for a photographer? I have dates still available for this year! Please check out my website at www.meacreations.com.

Stylish Wedding in the City

Somebody pinch me quick. No, wait, don’t, I don’t wanna wake up if it is a dream! Yesterday I left my village of Cape May and headed to the city- of Philadelphia that is. There I met up with Julie and Dean to shoot their- oh so stylish – wedding. Being a fan of Sex and the City, I must say this was the closet I’ve come to living it! Julie wore an elegant bridal suit with the best veil piece, and Dean was stunning in his suit. We did a few quick portraits at the Ritz, then started our walk over to City Hall (where Mayor Nutter performed the ceremony!), and made our way back towards The Ritz to have a wonderful luncheon at The Capital Grille. Such style and grace! Totally an episode out of Sex and the City! Enjoy a few of the photos below, and of course, be sure to check out the slide show coming in the next few days!

Sweet Little Fall Wedding

This afternoon I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Mike & Kathy as they got married. It was a very nice, simple, sweet ceremony. Mike played the guitar multiple times as everyone sang, including myself! It was great being involved in their special day.  Below are just a few of the photos I have pulled out after a quick look over:
